We are back on the road and installing solar across Sydney!
With busy months ahead, make sure you don’t miss your chance to install solar before the end of the year.
Spring is the best time of year to organise a solar power installation – you can sneak in before the big summer rush and be up and running in time to make the most of Sydney’s long days and sunny weather.
Over the last few years, most solar installers in Sydney have had lead times of many months over summer. We are expecting it to be a lot worse this year because of the lockdowns. Considering how well solar power systems work during summer, missing out on a quick installation before the big summer rush can effectively add hundreds of dollars to the price of your system.
The output of solar power across the year
As the days start to get longer and the sun gets a little higher in the sky, a solar power system in NSW will start to output significantly more power.
A 10kW solar system in Sydney will output around 40 kWh a day, averaged out across the year. During summer, a 10kW system will typically output over 60 kWh on a sunny day.
Solaray customers with larger solar + storage systems will now start to generate enough power to run their home on solar power during the day, plus send any excess solar power into their battery to use during the evening. Households with the new Powerwall 2 battery from Tesla have 13.5 kWh of storage, often enough to run their home on solar power for 24 hours from August right through to the end of Autumn!

Don’t Pay Another Big Summer Power Bill
By installing solar power before summer, you can dramatically reduce your power bills and run your home primarily on solar power. Offset air-conditioning, pool pumps and more by running them during the day when your new solar power system is generating peak output.
