Two days after the review into the Renewable Energy Target was released, and we have seen one of the biggest days in history for residential solar power.
Around the nation, households took Australia’s renewable energy future into their own hands and collectively ‘went solar’.
We have been swamped with phone calls to the point where we were not able to get back to everyone. We will be open all day today to help you finalise the details of your system.
By placing an order we can pre-assign your STC claim. Call us today on 1300 525 451 to finalise the details of your installation.
The review panel lead by climate change sceptic Dick Warburton has recommended the closure of the small-scale RET supporting rooftop solar, or SRES, “immediately or, perhaps to not undermine built-up industry capacity that will be needed in the future, phase it out by 2020 instead of 2030”.
Under a closed to new applicants scenario, the government could announce that all orders in place by ‘midnight last night’ will be eligible for the rebate but that any new orders will not be eligible.
We don’t know what the government will do, or when. All we can suggest is that if you are considering installing solar at some point in the near future, now would be the best time to act.
One of the best summaries of the RET review is available from The Conversation:

Time is now short as we await further news from how the Federal Government will implement these recommendations. A signed order form will lock in your STC rebate to ensure you don’t miss out. Solar power may not be this cheap for many years.
