The Tesla Powerwall has a storage capacity of 13.5 kWh which can power your home overnight until it is recharged by the sun again.

It also has a 5kW continuous output with a peak of 7kW, which is double the amount from the previous model. The increased output and capacity means that it can keep your household powered for longer, which results in lower energy bills from the grid.

• Time-Based Control: Aims to reduce your costs by allowing you to charge and discharge at certain times of the day depending on the peak and off-peak energy rates.

Supported on both Apple iOS and Android, the Tesla app allows users to monitor real-time home energy consumption, solar system monitoring and Tesla Powerwall Battery energy management.

For Tesla electric vehicle drivers, this utilises the energy component of the same app that is used to monitor their car and gives an added level of control when charging vehicles from the solar or the Tesla Powerwall.
